MASSAGE THERAPY

Massage therapy is the manipulation of soft tissues of the body to gain a therapeutic response. Soft tissues include muscles, skin and connective tissues such as tendons, ligaments and membranes.

Massage has been used for thousands of years as a simple and effective method of attaining and maintaining good health. Massage is recognized in many cultures throughout the world as beneficial.

Therapeutic massage can be used to promote general well being, while boosting the circulatory and immune systems to improve blood pressure, circulation, muscle tone, digestion and skin tone.

All forms or touch are perceived through the skin, which is the body's largest sensory organ. Three are thousands of specialized receptors in the second layer of the skin that react to external stimuli and send messages to the brain.

Gentle massage or stroking can trigger the release of endorphins, the body's natural painkillers, and induce a feeling of comfort and well being. Stronger, more vigorous massage may help to stretch tense and uncomfortable muscle and ease stiff joints, improving mobility and flexibility.


PRE-BOOK RESERVATIONS

For our valuable time as well as yours, please book your treatments in advance to accommodate your needs. Please have your credit card handy.


CHECK-IN

To prepare for your spa experience, please arrive 20 minutes prior to your service time. You will be escorted to change area where you will be provided with a robe, slippers and a chest drawer for your personal belongings. Also, to ensure you are given the appropriate treatment, you must complete a confidential consultation card.

*Please note HydeAway Spa is not responsible for any personal belongings left behind. Please check robe pockets and chest drawers to ensure you have all your personal belongs. Alternatively, we advise you not to bring in any precious belongs into the spa.


COURTESY PHONE CALL

Because we respect your time, you will receive a courtesy phone call from HydeAway Spa at least 24hrs before to ensure your reservation. Our policy is that we require 24hrs notice for any cancellation of reservation. There will be a 25% charge for late cancellations and 100% no-shows. For spa packages 48hr notice, for corporate and private events a 72hr notice is required.


SPA ETIQUETTE

The HydeAway Boutique Spa is designed as a little get away without going very far.

  • To ensure a relaxing tranquility within our environment, we ask that all electronic equipment be turned off.
  • We ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment. In that time you are required to fill out a health history record. A robe and sandals will be provided for your use.
  • Should you arrive late, in consideration of our next guest, your treatment still must end as scheduled and full charges will apply.
  • In consideration of others 24hr notice is required for cancellations or appointment changes. Last minute cancellations will be charged in full.
  • A credit card is required to reserve your appointment at HydeAway Spa.
  • Gratuity and applicable taxes are not included. 15% to 20% gratuity is standard.
  • Advanced reservations are required for all Spa Packages/Parties, deposits will be necessary.
